What NBC monday murder mystery movie is this?
‘The story begins with some high-priced callgirl visiting one of her clients…some rich big-wig type I think. We don’t see this man’s face, but we can safely assume that he’s the suspect in this movie. The woman is dressed in white lingerie and I think she’s either a red-head or a brunette. The callgirl has no idea what’s in store for her as the mystery man begins to grab her roughly by the shoulders and the woman is assuming that this guy like to play rough, so he lets her do as he pleases. Tying her wrists to a bed, the man then puts on a pair of white gloves and without warning strangles the poor woman to death.’

‘Later on, a blonde social worker woman gets into a fight with an African American woman who dumps water in her chips on purpose. Furious, a fight begins with the blonde shoving the black woman’s face into her macaroni and cheese (things kinda get blurry here). Anyway, the blonde woman plays an important part to this story because somehow, evidence of the call-girl’s murder winds up in her hands yet she still can’t place a face to the mystery man behind her death. Having the evidence in her possession though makes her a target, so she goes to some investigative reporter with glasses who’s trying to get the scoop on this story. The guy is kinda nerdy and arrogant at the same time, but wants to help the woman and when they start getting too close to the truth, two hired killers (a bald guy in a suit with a silenced gun and a long-haired man with an uzi) start chasing after them. Pretty soon, they themselves are duped into becoming suspects and they find themselves being chased in the reporter’s convertible during the night…in order to get the law off of their tales, the woman disconnects his roof and it falls in the street, causing the cops to wreck.

Later on, the reporter is driving the woman back to her place I believe in the afternoon and the two become really close friends at this point. The woman still has the evidence though and they have to be prepared to give it to the authorities in order to clear her name. Going to a close friend’s house, a rich male with brown hair, everyone thinks everything is okay, until the reporter fears something isn’t right and his suspicions are confirmed when someone abducts him and shoves him into a van across the street. It appears that this rich male is indeed the killer and the blonde has just walked into his cluthces without knowing it. The people (possibly the killers) are forcing him to watch helplessly the whole thing from a camera hidden in the room and the monitors are in the van. As the rich male enters the room, he puts on the same white gloves that he had on before and it is here that the blonde understands that he’s the murderer…it seems that this man is very important, unfortunately he has a habit of getting too rough with some of his female playmates and the last one (the one at the beginning of the movie) wound up dead. Now that the woman knows the truth, the male is about to make her his next ‘victim’ to cover up his tracks…but he decides to be fair with her. You see, this man likes to play guessing games and if she can guess the answer right to his riddles, he’ll let her go, no questions asked.

So the game begins, the woman is sweating hard and she doesn’t know the answer to some of the riddles, but one in particular is the one that could save her life: the reporter in the van is shouting the word, ‘Flowers! Flowers!’ and as if by some miracle, she guesses the word right. True to his word, the rich male is about to let the woman go, but the two hired killers aren’t satisfied with their treatment and someone has asked them to rub this guy out…which they do. The reporter breaks away from his captors and rushes inside to help the woman…not seeing themselves in a winning situation, they try and hide in the house until help arrives, as the repoter has somehow called the authorities to their location. They hide in what appears to be a closet and the bald assassin tries to shoot the door with his silenced pistol. When that doesn’t work, he yells, ‘Gimme that’ and takes the long-haired assassin’s uzi and starts spraying the door. Somehow, the reporter and the woman escape from that unscathed and I can’t remember if the assassins were killed by the couple or by the police. But either way, the conspiracy is uncovered and their names are cleared.

If anybody knows what movie this is or anyone that might match this criteria, please gimme a holler. I’ve searched everywhere and can’t find any titles that match this description.
